Jesse Brampton

Jesse Brampton came to the trail industry from a bushwalking background, and has brought that love of the outdoors to all his work in the last 24 years. Over time he has expanded his sphere of knowledge and experience to include cycle and bridle trails, and more recently tourist drives and heritage trails for motorised visitors.

He became known in the 1990s for his work as coordinator of the highly acclaimed Building a Better Bibbulmun Track Project which transformed WA’s long distance walk trail into a national icon and a long trail of international significance, and has gone on to become a major contributor to trail development right across Australia.

In the last fifteen years Jesse’s professional work has largely focused on researching and writing interpretive signs, trail guides and promotional brochures. This has been a natural extension of his lifelong interest in nature, history and culture – and his passion for words.  Jesse has developed a deep understanding of how to engage, inform and entertain visitors at natural and cultural sites.

Sally Malone
Sally_Malone2.jpg

Sally has been working as a public place designer since graduating from Curtin University in 1993, and has developed a skill set which blends landscape and streetscape expertise to provide a practical and broad-based approach to enhancing public places.

She has worked in local government and the private sector - in a number of roles ranging from managing large scale public place construction projects for the City of Perth, to implementing designs for small civic gardens.  Her work in her practice - Sally Malone Design - has been equally divided between urban centres and country and remote rural areas.

Sally has a deep understanding of the potentials that well-designed public spaces bring to community liveability, economic resilience and environmental amenity. She was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to research the benefits that the creative economy can generate for towns, and continues to explore ways to 'value-add' to design concepts she creates for clients.

Interpretation and cultural trails are a key tools enhancing public places and providing enjoyable and engaging experiences for locals and visitors alike, and she and Jesse have worked together to create many such experiences over the past 10 years.
